Veel mensen met diabetes krijgen vroeg of laat diabetische voetproblemen. Het grote risico van de complicatie 'diabetische voet' is het krijgen van een voetulcus, met amputatie als mogelijk gevolg. Het is daarom belangrijk dat risicovoeten zo vroeg mogelijk worden opgespoord. Door middel van de Simm's classificatie kunnen mensen met diabetes ingedeeld worden in een risicocategorie. Daardoor kunnen op het juiste moment de juiste maatregelen worden genomen. De diabetische voet en de Simm's classificatie informeert over de huidige stand van zaken rondom de Simm's classificatie. Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a major global health challenge as the third leading cause for cancer related mortalities worldwide. Despite advances in therapeutic strategies, the five-year survival rate for CRC patients has remained the same over time due to the fact that patients are often diagnosed in advanced metastatic stages. Drug resistance is another common reason for poor prognosis.
